How to Submit a Website to Yahoo for Free

Search engines such as Google, Bing and Yahoo use an index to provide search results. When you enter a series of search terms the engine isn't really searching the Internet, it's searching an index of websites. The Yahoo search bot crawls the Internet constantly to keep Yahoo's index updated. However, the Internet is large, it may take the search bot some time to find you site, much less index it. Speed up the process by submitting your site directly to Yahoo to add it to the queue.

Instructions

1. 1. Open your preferred Web browser. Go to Yahoo's main site and create an account if you don't have a Yahoo ID.
   2. Click in the address bar of your browser and delete any text. Type "search.yahoo.com/info/submit.html" in the address bar and press "Enter."
   3. Click the "Submit Your Site for Free" link and sign in using your Yahoo ID if necessary. Enter your site's information and click "Submit."
